2021
Vizzybility Program
In 2021, Queer Collective teamed up with Vizzy Hard Seltzer & the Winner of Canada’s Drag Race, Priyanka to launch the #VizzybilityProject. A program that gave 4 Canadian Queer artists a grant + prize package valued at $35,000 (each). As part of this program, the winning artists were enrolled in a month-long virtual artist incubator support series with Queer Collective.
2022
Good Vibez Day + Turning Heads Vol I
On May 18th 2022, Vizzy championed an epic nationwide blitz of positivity - introducing the first ever #GoodVibezDay. Together with Queen Priyanka, Vizzy aimed to raise Canada's vibe with the goal of setting a world record for the most compliments ever given in a single day. For every compliment using the hashtag, #GoodVibezDay on Social Media Vizzy committed to donating $1 up to $25,000 to Queer Collective and the 519, funding initiatives and spaces that support inclusivity for the LGBTQ2S+ community.
In 2022, Vizzy was a proud supporting sponsor of Turning Heads Vol I, a short film produced by Queer Collective in partnership with LES Studio. In this project Queer Collective brought together 9 diverse queer folks for drastically different surprise haircuts and to tell their stories. The end result was truly magic. 2023
Vizzybility Booth + Annual Supporting Partner
Photo booths were on of the original safe spaces for queer love & intimacy. That’s why Queer Collective partnered with Vizzy to introduce the #VizzybilityBooth. What makes it so special? It’s completely transparent, and that was intentional! At a time when so many people want us to hide our queer joy & gay audacity, we want you to be seen & help us honor the queer history of photo booths.
In 2023, Vizzy joined us for the first time as an annual supporting sponsor! Their generous support helped us produce Turning Heads Vol II, a short film exploring queer expression through makeup & we hosted a fabulous screening event. Vizzy helped us take our artist programming (OUTLOUD) to new heights & supported our pride community event (Gender Euphoria). It was an incredible year of growth & vizzybility!
2024
Annual Presenting Partner
This year Vizzy’s support of Queer Collective has only grown & is allowing us to take our regular programming to new levels. Vizzy is supporting 26 episodes of The Queer Collective Podcast (audio & video), where we host diverse guests & create important discussions surrounding community issues & often overlooked queer experiences. This year, thanks to Vizzy, we’re celebrating the 5th anniversary of our Pride Performing arts program (OUTLOUD), by taking it Nation wide & increasing artist mentorship opportunities & expanding our epic prize package.
