How we Activate

Digital Content

Turning Heads

Join Queer Collective and our partners in the ongoing exploration of queer identity and expression in the 'Turning Heads' short film series. Vol I. focuses on the transformative power of a haircut free from society's gendered boxes, while Vol II. showcases makeup as a genderless tool of self-expression. Future volumes will continue to highlight the diverse ways in which the queer community expresses themselves and reclaims their narratives.

Podcast

The Queer Collective Podcast is A weekly show Co-hosted by Queer Collectives founders & couple Karbon & Emily. Each Thursday the duo release a new episode that takes an informative & comedic approach to queer topics, current events & storytelling.

Masterclass Series

Queer Collective presents multiple limited series master classes featuring queer experts. This series aims to provide education & bring visibility to the exceptional talent that exists within our community. Available on our channel now is an Astrology Masterclass with Reiki master, astrologer & founder of One People TO, Sheena, & a Drag Masterclass hosted by Toronto’s Brazilian Drag Queen, Dexter.

Performing Arts

From creatively produced music videos to strip-down sessions. We aim to spotlight & uplift local queer performing artists (Music, Drag, Spoken Word, & Dance).

Programming

OUT LOUD

OUT LOUD is our annual queer artist grant program presented by Queer Collective & Vizzy Hard Seltzer. This program is centered around connecting Canadian LGBTQ2S+ artists with grants, mentorship, digital assets, & promotion. This program runs from March - July.

The Vizzybility Project

Queer Collective teamed up with Vizzy Hard Seltzer & the Winner of Canada’s Drag Race, Priyanka to launch the #VizzybilityProject. A program that gave 4 Canadian Queer artists a grant + prize package valued at $35,000. As part of this program, the winning artists were enrolled in a month-long virtual artist incubator support series with Queer Collective.

Artists for Social Change

Queer Collective is a community partner alongside Honey Jam on the arts education + social change competition presented by Arts Help & Conscious Economics. This program facilitated intimate workshops for 30 aspiring Canadian artists with a focus on BIPOC, newcomers, & LGBTQ2S+ community members.
